                                    Our mission at the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence/Westchester, Inc. is to provide information, education, prevention and referrals. Our goal is to educate the public regarding the treatment and prevention of the disease of alcoholism and chemical dependency.

                                    Our History
                                    National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency founder Marty Mann (October 15, 1904 – July 22, 1980) was the first woman participant in Alcoholics Anonymous and a pioneer in the movement to view alcoholism as a disease rather than a moral failing.

                                    The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence / Westchester Inc. fights the stigma and the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions.
